For Family Weekend on October 24, Brown 2026 sponsored a Cross Talk, a conversation on family moderated by Karin Wulf, Brown 2026 co-chair featuring Dara Kass, Professor of the Practice in Health Services, Policy and Practice; Wendy Schiller, Professor of Political Science and Deputy Provost; and Robert Self, Professor of American History, for an audience of students and their families. The Class of 1976 oral history project is now publicly available in the Brown Digital Repository thanks to the work of the John Hay Library staff in partnership with Brown 2026. Undergraduate researchers Anna Brachtenberg ‘27 and Lena Yan ‘29 continue a few more oral interviews this semester; please contact brown2026democracy@brown.edu if you or someone you know is a Brown Class of 1976 graduate by November 15. Also by November 15, please let us know if you’d like your course to be featured in the Brown 2026 curriculum and if you’d like your recent book publication to be considered as a selection for Brown 2026 Reads. Thanks to a partnership with the Dean of the College, the Brown 2026 Reads faculty-author-led discussions have continued at the John Carter Brown Library throughout fall 2026, and our final semester of Brown 2026 Reads will be spring 2027. If you read this far and want to be the first to know, please save the date for March 11: American Girl authors Valerie Tripp and Connie Porter will be coming to campus for a special event. As always, please check our website for the latest information and updates.
